The Gmachmeir Viersitzer was a distinctive 4-seat coupé presented by Gmachmeir Design at the 1975 Geneva Motor Show. Characterized by its enormous gullwing doors, the Viersitzer combined avant-garde styling with ambitious engineering. It was powered by a turbocharged version of the NSU Ro 80’s rotary engine, which produced approximately 200 hp—significant power for a car of its size and design at the time.
This unique rotary engine setup gave the Viersitzer impressive performance potential and showcased Gmachmeir’s vision of a luxury sports coupé with a spacious, futuristic interior.
Despite its striking presence and innovative concept, the Gmachmeir Viersitzer remained a one-off show car and was never intended for mass production. Its daring design and advanced features, however, left a memorable mark as a 1970s concept blending German engineering with bold, unconventional styling.
