With a wide, low, and aggressive stance, a massive grille opening, muscular shoulders, and a shortened rear deck, the GT-R Concept showcased a distinct design. Inside, it presented a unique four-place performance environment featuring deep seating, a full-length center console with an integrated structural cage, and a driver's command center.

Despite withholding specific technical details, the concept aimed to continue the GT-R legacy with superior levels of technology and performance. It emphasized unrivaled power, outstanding acceleration, top speed, superior handling, and braking. The GT-R Concept aimed to be the once and future successor to the throne, combining a powerful exterior with a luxurious and functional interior.

While the concept left many specifications undisclosed, its appearance generated excitement, with a promise of innovation and performance. The concept's unveiling in 2001 laid the groundwork for the subsequent generations of the Nissan GT-R.
