2024 Bugatti Tourbillon

The Bugatti Tourbillon, set to debut in 2024, represents the pinnacle of automotive innovation and performance. With a hybrid powertrain that combines a 986 hp combustion engine with three electric motors, the Tourbillon achieves a total output of 1,775 hp. This cutting-edge vehicle offers an all-electric range of 37 miles, demonstrating Bugatti's commitment to blending traditional engineering excellence with modern hybrid technology. Performance statistics are staggering: the Tourbillon can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.0 seconds, reach 400 km/h (248 mph) in less than 25 seconds, and attain a top speed of 445 km/h (277 mph) when the speed key is engaged.

The design of the Bugatti Tourbillon draws inspiration from the marque’s storied past, incorporating key elements such as the horseshoe grille, the Bugatti Line, a central ridge, and a dual color split. Every surface, inlet, and ridge is meticulously designed for aerodynamic and thermodynamic efficiency, ensuring optimal performance at extremely high speeds. The car features a new diffuser concept and advanced aerodynamic systems that provide stability and efficiency, even at speeds exceeding 400 km/h.

Inside, the Tourbillon focuses on timeless design rather than fleeting digital trends. The analogue instrument cluster, crafted by Swiss watchmakers, serves as the centerpiece of the interior. This intricate cluster is part of a fixed hub steering wheel setup, ensuring an unobstructed view of the gauges regardless of steering angle. The center console, a blend of crystal glass and aluminum, reveals the complex workings of the switches and the engine start lever, highlighting Bugatti’s dedication to craftsmanship. Despite its analogue focus, the car includes a hidden high-definition digital screen that displays vehicle data and offers connectivity when necessary.

Engineering advancements are at the heart of the Bugatti Tourbillon. The car features a new chassis and body structure made from next-generation T800 carbon composite, integrating weight-saving innovations such as a structural battery and a composite rear diffuser. The suspension system, made from 3D-printed aluminum components, reduces weight while enhancing performance. Advanced carboceramic brakes and bespoke Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires ensure superior handling and stopping power, making the Tourbillon a true engineering marvel.

Bugatti plans to produce only 250 units of the Tourbillon, each with a starting price of €3.8 million ($4.1 million). Deliveries are expected to begin in 2026, with hand-assembly taking place at the Bugatti Atelier in Molsheim. Guided by the principles of beauty, performance, and luxury, the Tourbillon is designed to be more elegant, emotive, and luxurious than any of its predecessors. With this model, Bugatti aims to create a timeless masterpiece that will be admired and revered for generations to come, truly an automotive icon ‘Pour L’Éternité’.
