Audi has unveiled a new limited edition of the Q8 e-tron, the "edition Dakar," to celebrate the success of the RS Q e-tron in the Dakar Rally. The "edition Dakar" will be limited to just 99 cars and will be based on the twin-motor 55 e-tron model.
The "edition Dakar" features a number of visual and performance upgrades that nod to the RS Q e-tron racer. The most noticeable changes are the wider tracks and arches, which give the car a more aggressive stance. The car also has more ground clearance, thanks to a suspension lift, and two sets of wheels and tires: one for on-road use and one for off-road use.
Other exterior changes include a unique matte gray paint job, blacked-out trim, and Dakar Rally-inspired graphics. The interior also gets a special makeover, with black leather seats with Dakar Rally stitching, orange accents, and a special edition floor mat.
The "edition Dakar" is powered by the same twin-motor electric powertrain as the standard Q8 e-tron 55, which produces 402 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. However, Audi has not said whether the "edition Dakar" will have any performance upgrades.
The Audi Q8 e-tron "edition Dakar" is a unique and eye-catching SUV that celebrates the brand's success in the Dakar Rally. With its limited production run, it is sure to be a collector's item.
