The 2025 Nissan Bluebird Kiwami, Nissan NEO Skyline, and Nissan Z Lealia showcase the incredible passion, creativity, and skill of students from Nissan’s technical colleges. Each vehicle brings a fresh perspective to Nissan’s heritage, blending modern design with nostalgic influences.
The Bluebird Kiwami, built by third-year students at Nissan Aichi Automobile Technical College, reimagines the PU11 Bluebird Maxima, a luxury car from 36 years ago. With its sleek ‘Aurora Flare Blue Pearl’ color and perfect balance of luxury and sportiness, the Kiwami appeals to the youthful spirit of today’s drivers while reflecting Nissan’s classic elegance. The students, who spent just 2.5 months working on the project, poured their passion into every detail to create a car that reflects the ultimate blend of luxury and excitement.
The Nissan NEO Skyline, created by fourth-year students at Nissan Kyoto Automobile Technical College, pays tribute to the iconic 1970s Kenmary Skyline. Drawing inspiration from the CV35 Skyline Coupe, the NEO Skyline blends nostalgia with modern design. Finished in a unique ‘Tomoaki Blue,’ the NEO Skyline offers a contemporary take on a classic, appealing to car enthusiasts who grew up with the Kenmary and those looking for originality in modern vehicles. The students successfully captured the essence of the original while infusing it with fresh, modern flair.
Meanwhile, the Z Lealia, also from Nissan Kyoto, redefines the idea of a family-friendly sports car. Built on the M35 Stagea platform, the Z Lealia combines the thrill of the Fairlady Z with the practicality of a family car. Finished in ‘Ikazuchi Yellow,’ the Z Lealia merges performance with family needs, offering a sleek, muscular design that’s perfect for both thrilling drives and family journeys. With its rear section from a Nissan LEAF and design elements inspired by the Fairlady Z, the Z Lealia presents an exciting blend of style and function.
These student projects highlight Nissan’s commitment to nurturing young talent and pushing the boundaries of automotive design. Each vehicle is a testament to the passion and vision of its creators, offering a glimpse into the future of automotive innovation. Whether you’re drawn to the nostalgic charm of the NEO Skyline, the luxury-sport fusion of the Bluebird Kiwami, or the family-friendly excitement of the Z Lealia, there’s something for everyone to admire.
