The exterior of the Messenger boasted turbine-themed wheels inspired by the Mercury “flying M” logo. These vaned wheels served a functional purpose, guiding airflow to cool the brakes, which complemented the vehicle’s performance-focused appearance. Stacked front lights and a vertical grille introduced a layered look, echoed in the sequential taillights at the rear, which completed the vehicle’s cohesive design language.
