British MG restoration specialists Frontline will present their restomod MGB GT, the LE60, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and other select events during Monterey Car Week. This model commemorates both the 60th anniversary of the MGB and the 30th anniversary of Frontline. Limited to just 30 builds worldwide, the LE60 features a modernized, 375 bhp 4.8-liter Rover V8 engine. Its chassis has been strengthened, its track widened, and its suspension is custom-tuned by Nitron, resulting in a near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution for exceptional handling.
With a classic look and cutting-edge upgrades, the LE60 stays true to the original MGB GT while offering modern performance. It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160 mph. Other upgrades include high-performance brakes, LED lighting, and a refined interior featuring leather bucket seats, a Nardi wooden steering wheel, and modern conveniences like electric windows, heated seats, and a premium sound system. The car even offers adjustable power steering and optional air conditioning, making it as comfortable as it is powerful.
The LE60 strikes a balance between classic charm and contemporary practicality. With its subtle exterior changes, it looks like a well-preserved original car rather than a full redesign, allowing the driver to enjoy both vintage aesthetics and modern reliability. It's a restomod that can be driven daily without sacrificing performance, making it a unique and highly desirable addition to any collection.
