The 2024 Mercedes G-Vintage by Carlex Design reimagines the iconic G-Class with a bold retro aesthetic inspired by the 1970s, featuring both design and performance upgrades. This project from Polish tuning house Carlex Design brings a vintage flair to any G-Class model from 2018 onward, transforming it with custom bumpers, unique wheel rims with whitewall tires, and custom paint options tailored to each customer’s preference. Beyond the exterior, Carlex Design has revamped the interior with a unique upholstery made from artificially aged leather, available in various styles, and even offers luxurious options like inlays with diamond dust or precious metals.
Under the hood, Carlex Design pushes the performance envelope significantly. The standard output of 585 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque can be boosted to an impressive 805 horsepower and 1,020 Nm, raising the top speed to around 260 km/h. Although more powerful tuning kits exist, Carlex Design’s focus is as much on style as on speed.
The interior embodies a yacht-like theme, with the trunk platform and rear seatbacks finished in natural wood. Carlex’s G-Vintage project is a unique blend of luxury, retro styling, and raw power, offering G-Class enthusiasts a bespoke package that combines vintage charm with modern engineering.
