The 2024 Škoda Vision Gran Turismo Concept is a groundbreaking electric supercar designed specifically for the Gran Turismo 7 game, bringing the Czech brand into the world of virtual racing. Inspired by the 1957 Škoda 1100 OHC Spider, originally developed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Vision Gran Turismo blends Škoda's motorsport heritage with its future in electric mobility.
The futuristic design of the Vision Gran Turismo includes sharp lines, pronounced edges, and active aerodynamic features like a split rear wing, ensuring it performs well on the digital track. The car is powered by four electric motors delivering a combined 1,088 horsepower (800 kW) and 1,020 Nm of torque, enabling exceptional all-wheel-drive performance. Its lightweight, streamlined body weighs just 1,300 kilograms and has a length of 4.41 meters, width of 1.95 meters, and height of 94.9 centimeters.
Inside, the minimalist cockpit places the driver in the center, with a sports bucket seat, a flat-bottomed carbon steering wheel, and a customizable control interface inspired by gaming professionals. The dashboard includes a crystal stone power meter, while the digital display shows speed, driving modes, and battery levels, doubling as a rearview mirror. Drivers also benefit from onboard distance sensors to avoid lateral collisions.
The Vision Gran Turismo offers two liveries in the game: a matte green "Explorer" version, reminiscent of the Škoda Vision 7S concept car, and a "Heritage" version inspired by the iconic Škoda 130 RS rally car. Both designs feature Škoda's new Modern Solid visual language, with T-shaped front lights and a distinctive matte finish.
This virtual concept car is part of Škoda's entry into the world of e-racing, aimed at attracting new fans and continuing the company's commitment to innovation. With its striking appearance and impressive performance, the Vision Gran Turismo is designed to showcase Škoda's electric future and engage a new generation of gamers.
