The 2004 Jaguar XK-RS Concept was a high-performance concept car based on the first-generation XK convertible, developed in collaboration between Michigan-based Rocketsports Racing and Jaguar North America. At its debut, it was the most powerful road-going Jaguar convertible ever built, boasting an impressive 550 horsepower.
This extreme version of the XK was designed to push the limits of Jaguar’s grand touring platform, incorporating racing-inspired enhancements while maintaining the brand’s signature luxury and refinement. The XK-RS featured aggressive aerodynamics, a reinforced chassis, and a supercharged V8 engine that delivered exhilarating performance.
Built with track capability in mind, the XK-RS benefited from Rocketsports Racing’s motorsport expertise, integrating enhanced suspension, braking systems, and lightweight materials to maximize handling and speed. It stood as a one-off showcase of Jaguar’s potential in high-performance convertible engineering, demonstrating what could be achieved when combining Jaguar’s legacy of elegance with pure racing DNA.
