The 2005 Daihatsu Be-Go Concept, originally known as the D-Compact 4x4 when unveiled in Frankfurt, received a new name for the Tokyo Motor Show, but it remained essentially the same next-generation, lightweight, baby soft-road SUV. The Be-Go was equipped with a newly developed 1.5-liter engine and full-time 4WD, making it well-suited for urban and light off-road driving. Its body dimensions were slightly smaller than its predecessor, offering a compact and practical design for city dwellers and small families. Designed to replace the Terios in Japan, the Be-Go was intended to seat five passengers comfortably, and it was ready for production, promising to be a versatile, compact SUV perfect for those seeking a combination of practicality and performance.
