The 1973 Ford Falcon GT Superbird was a one-off show car based on an XA Falcon GT Hardtop, created specifically for the Sydney and Melbourne Motor Shows. It was finished in a striking non-factory "Pearl Silver" paint, featuring large orange "Superbird" decals on each side, making it one of the most visually distinctive Falcons of its era.
Adding to its show-stopping presence, the Superbird appeared with different wheels at different events: 15x7" Globe Bathurst wheels, 15x8" US Racer/Jellybean wheels, and 15x7" Magnum 500 wheels.
After completing its time on the show circuit, the car was returned to its factory specification, repainted in its original Wild Violet color, and sold as a standard XA Falcon 351 GT Hardtop.
