2024 Polestar 6 BST Concept

Polestar, Geely’s all-electric subsidiary, has made a significant impact at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with the global debut of the Polestar 6 BST Concept, a racing iteration of the Polestar 6 electric sports car.

A Stunning New Arrival:

The Polestar 6 BST Concept, introduced in Gothenburg, Sweden on July 11, 2024, is the centerpiece of Polestar's expanded lineup at the festival. This concept car features bespoke bodywork with flared arches, an extra-wide track, and 22-inch forged alloy wheels, emphasizing its racing pedigree. The aerodynamically optimized vented bonnet, framed by an aggressive front splitter, and a motorsport-inspired rear wing complete its striking appearance.

Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, highlighted the significance of the debut, stating, “Now we are a brand with three models in production, it’s great to see them here together for the first time at a global event. Goodwood Festival of Speed is full of the most exciting cars and the most enthusiastic crowds, so it’s the perfect place for us to tease our Polestar Concept BST. This car is a demonstration of how far we can push our performance brand—Polestar turned up to 11, if you will—and a demonstration of how we could apply the BST formula to our line-up in the future.”

Design and Performance:

The Polestar 6 BST Concept is a true marvel of engineering and design. Finished in classic motorsport silver, it boasts muscular flared arches and an extra-wide track that enhance its aggressive stance. The 22-inch forged alloy wheels and bespoke racing-livery-inspired graphics add to its visual appeal. The aerodynamically optimized bonnet, with its unique vented design, ensures optimal airflow and cooling, while the aggressive front splitter and extreme rear wing contribute to its high-speed stability.

Engineered alongside the Polestar 5, the Polestar 6 Concept uses the bespoke bonded aluminum Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA) platform. This advanced platform ensures the car's lightweight construction, enhancing its agility and performance. The Polestar 6 represents the pinnacle of Polestar's current lineup, embodying the brand's commitment to innovative design and cutting-edge technology.

Dynamic Debut:

The Polestar 6 Concept will make its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, demonstrating its capabilities on the festival’s iconic 1.2-mile hill climb. This marks a significant milestone for Polestar as it showcases its performance credentials to an enthusiastic audience.

Joining the Polestar 6 in the first glance paddock are the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, two new electric SUVs that exemplify the brand's commitment to sustainable mobility. The Polestar 3, an electric performance SUV launched in late 2022, and the Polestar 4, an SUV coupé introduced in 2023, both highlight Polestar's focus on design and technology.

Polestar at Goodwood:

The main Polestar stand at Goodwood features the Polestar Concept BST, the Polestar 2, and the two new luxury electric performance SUVs. Electric Avenue hosts the Polestar 4, offering consumers the opportunity to experience Polestar models firsthand with test drives along Molecomb drive within the Goodwood estate.

Polestar's presence at Goodwood underscores its commitment to performance and innovation. The Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 are available to order, with test drives of the Polestar 3 underway and Polestar 4 slots starting shortly.
